Current Population Survey (CPS)
The Current Population Survey (CPS) is the primary source of labor force statistics for the population of the United States.
The decennial census counts every resident in the United States. Data are used for congressional apportionment and to distribute federal funds to communities.
Demographic Analysis (DA)
The Demographic Analysis Program produces national estimates of the population on census day by age, sex, and race for comparison with the decennial census.
The Population Estimates Program produces estimates for the United States, states, counties, cities, towns, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and municipios.
The Population Projections Program produces population estimates for future dates. Projections include assumptions about future births, deaths, and migration.
