Online Product Calendar

The U.S. Census Bureau provides anticipated release dates for its regular and recurring statistical products through its online product calendar. This calendar is regularly updated to reflect the most current information.

Age Search Service

The U.S. Census Bureau is again accepting new requests for its Age Search Service after a temporary pause. The updated service and fee structure offers a search for confidential records from 1910 to 2020 Censuses and issues an official transcript of the results for a congressionally mandated fee. Individuals can use these transcripts, which may contain information on a person’s age, sex, race, state or country of birth, and relationship to the householder, as evidence to qualify for social security and other retirement benefits, apply for passports, prove relationship in settling estates, conduct genealogy research or to satisfy other situations where a birth or other certificate may be needed but is not available. Information can only be released to the named person, his/her heirs or legal representatives.

Data.census.gov Users Needed for Survey

The U.S. Census Bureau’s Center for Enterprise Dissemination Services and Consumer Innovation is looking for participants for an upcoming Usability Testing study. A wide range of data users with varying backgrounds are needed to learn how users interact with the site. Participants should have past or current experience using or analyzing data – and use data from data.census.gov or other statistical sites for research and to make decisions. Demographic

An Aging World: 2025

The U.S. Census Bureau will release the sixth edition of the An Aging World series. The report contains statistics from the Census Bureau’s International Database and other data sources such as the international family of Health and Retirement surveys, the Gateway to Global Aging, The World Bank, International Labour Organization and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. (Tentatively scheduled for release Aug. 27.)

New Foreign-Born Population by Generation Data Tables

The U.S. Census Bureau will release new data tables from the 2025 Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement (CPS ASEC). These tables provide information on household income, poverty status, employment status, health insurance coverage, education, age, sex and other social and economic statistics for the foreign-born population by generation. (Scheduled for release Sept. 8.)

Income in the United States: 2025

The U.S. Census Bureau will announce the nation’s annual estimates on income, earnings and inequality in order to evaluate national economic trends and to understand their effect on the well-being of households and individuals. These estimates are based on the 2026 Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement (CPS ASEC). (Scheduled for release Sept. 15.)

Health Insurance in the United States: 2025

The U.S. Census Bureau will announce the nation’s annual health insurance coverage estimates highlighting comparisons between 2024 and 2025 data as well as examining characteristics by health insurance status in order to better understand the well-being of individuals. These estimates are based on the 2026 Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement (CPS ASEC). (Scheduled for release Sept. 15.)

Poverty in the United States: 2025

The U.S. Census Bureau will announce the nation’s official poverty and Supplemental Poverty Measure (SPM) estimates to help understand the economic well-being of households, families and individuals. These estimates are based on the 2026 Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement (CPS ASEC). (Scheduled for release Sept. 15.)

Legacy USA Trade Online Tool Decommissioned, New USA Trade Online Tool Available

As of June 30, the legacy USA Trade Online platform has been decommissioned and replaced with the new USA Trade Online: Reimagined platform. The new version features the same trade data as the legacy version while improving user experience with a modern, more intuitive interface and streamlined design.

Census Business Builder Tool

The U.S. Census Bureau will release version 5.12 of the Census Business Builder (CBB) tool. This release includes streamlined visual styling, clearer selection prompts, and improved legend and dashboard functionality. The release also includes expanded industry information, enhanced tooltips and new data such as per capita income available across all geographic levels. Additional improvements include a new national level geography option, updates to the Industry Tree, and metadata updates and bug fixes for previously known issues. More information on Census Business Builder is available online. (Scheduled for release Aug. 26.)

The webinar includes a live demonstration showing how to navigate and apply these datasets effectively, followed by an interactive Q&A session to address participant questions. (Scheduled for Aug. 27.)

New Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes Data

The U.S. Census Bureau will release new data on outcomes of graduates which will provide data for over 1,000 institutions. PSEO tabulations show earnings and employment outcomes for graduates of U.S. post-secondary institutions and are generated by linking graduate transcript records to Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics wage data. This offers prospective students a comprehensive assessment tool to find out how much they could potentially earn by degree and institution. The Census Bureau conducts the PSEO in cooperation with higher education institutional systems to examine college degree attainment and graduate earnings. (Scheduled for release Aug. 27.)

2024 Annual Integrated Economic Survey

The U.S. Census Bureau is scheduled to release the full set of data from the 2024 Annual Integrated Economic Survey (AIES). The AIES provides economic data — including business revenue, expenses and assets — at detailed geographies for many sectors previously only available nationally. (Scheduled for release Sept. 3.)

2026 Annual Government Organization and Structure

The U.S. Census Bureau is set to release the 2026 Annual Government Organization counts. The release includes three data tables: Government Units by State, Local Governments by Type and State, and Special District Governments by Function and State. Also set to be released is the annual Government Organization Public Use File for state and local government units, including independent governments, dependent school systems and public pension systems. (Scheduled for release Sept. 24.)

Business Trends and Outlook Survey

The Business Trends and Outlook Survey (BTOS) measures business conditions on an ongoing basis. BTOS experimental data products are representative of all employer businesses other than farms in the U.S. economy. The data allow greater insight into the state of the economy by providing continuous, timely information for key economic measures. Data are released biweekly and are available by sector, state, employment size and the 25 most populous metropolitan statistical areas.

National Hispanic Heritage Month: 2026

Aug. 11 — During this month-long observance, our nation celebrates the culture and traditions of U.S. residents who trace their roots to Spain, Mexico and the Spanish-speaking nations of Central America, South America and the Caribbean. The U.S. Census Bureau joins in the celebration with this fact sheet presenting a range of updated statistics describing the demographic state of the nation’s Hispanic population.

“Connecting Jobs and Walkability with Census Data”

Aug. 19 — The U.S. Census Bureau and the Local Employment Dynamics (LED) Partnership, in collaboration with the Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER) and the Labor Market Information (LMI) Institute, welcome Evan Johnston, Reece Neathery and John Karras as they present “Connecting Jobs and Walkability with Census Data.” Using the Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD) Origin-Destination Economic Statistics (LODES) data and walk-time analysis can identify employment centers and improve existing areas. Learn how these tools support data-driven decisions for economic development and infrastructure investments.

Understanding the New Disclosure Avoidance Policy: What It Means for Data, Confidentiality and You

Aug. 17 — In June, the Department of Commerce released Department Administrative Order (DAO) 216-26, titled “Disclosure Avoidance for Statistical Products.” This order established new policies around how we protect the confidentiality of individuals and organizations when we publish statistics.

The Census Bureau has always faced a challenge: how to publish useful statistics while protecting the confidentiality of the data and the people behind the numbers. In recent years, including after the 2020 Census, we used a technique called differentially private noise infusion. This method adds random “noise” – data additions or subtractions – to data to make it harder to identify individuals. Read more of the blog.
